海野宿は数ある宿場町の一つです。
Unno juku is one of the many ‘shukuba’ post towns.
海野宿ふれあい祭りは11月23日に行われ、人力車と時代衣装を着た人々が特徴となっています。このイベントの目的は、封建時代の伝統を残すことにあります。
The Unnojuku Fureai Festival is held on November 23rd which features rickshaws and people in period costumes. The purpose of this event is to keep the traditions of the feudal area alive.
しなの鉄道とともに、楽しい小旅行でした。
It was an enjoyable excursion with the Shinano train line.

先週、私たちは六本木ヒルズの森美術館で行われている、村上隆の展示会に行ってきました。学ぶところの多い、興味深い芸術でした。
Last week we visited the exhibition of Takashi Murakami in Mori Art Museum, Roppongi Hills. Interesting art of which can be learned a lot.
こんなに長い絵画を見るのは初めてです。そして来訪者に写真撮影が許されているのも初めてでした。
It is the first time to see such a long painting. And it is also our first experience that visitors are allowed to take photos.

Lunch ---- ランチ

今日のランチは奄美の鶏飯でした。この鶏とご飯のスープは、鹿児島の学校では標準メニューです。生徒ではありませんが、私たちもこの古くからあるレシピをとても楽しみました。
Today's lunch was “Amami-no-Keihan”. This chicken rice soup is a standard menu in the schools in Kagoshima. Although not being students, we enjoyed this old recipe very much too.
そして、私たちはまた別のおいしいものをいただきました。このすごくおいしいお茶は友人から頂いたものです。彼女はパリに行っていました。そこはこの美味しい日本茶を買うことができる、唯一の場所なのです。
Afterwards we had another treat. The delicious tea was given to us by a friend. She went to Paris. The only place possible to buy this Japanese tea.

Birthday party ---- 誕生日パーティー

マンズワイン小諸ワイナリーで素晴らしい誕生日パーティーをしました。
We had a wonderful birthday party in Komoro, Manns Winery.
お食事はおいしかったし、一番楽しかったのはパフォーマンスでした。
The food was delicious and the performance most interesting.
バースデーケーキはアイスクリームで作られていました。とても大きかったけど残らず食べきりました。とてもおいしかったので。。。
The Birthday cake was made of ice-cream. It was huge but there was nothing left. So tasty...

Christmas holiday ---- クリスマス休暇

オフィーリアとエリザベスがクリスマス休暇に日本に来ることになりました。
Ophelia and Elisabeth are coming for Christmas holiday to Japan.
彼女たちは初めて二人だけで旅をすることになります。何という挑戦でしょう！
They will travel all by themselves for the first time. What a challenge!
